Virginia HIMSS Advocacy Day 2023: Connected Health in the Commonwealth
February 6 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Virginia HIMSS presents a slate of public policy topics, discussions, and informational updates related to public policy surrounding health information and technology. As we enter the 2023 legislative session, we will bring together health system leaders and public policy experts to explore the ways in which policy is shaping our priorities and our initiatives in Virginia. This year, we will focus on the ways in which health IT is promoting Connected Health in the Commonwealth by:
- Access to care, including efforts to expand telehealth services across the Commonwealth
- Access to information, including efforts to capture social determinants of health and use that information for better care
- Advances in technologies to foster interoperability and information sharing across organizations
