Her background spans SOC leadership, threat hunting, digital forensics, and enterprise incident response. Chris Baker is the chief information security officer at UVA Health, where he leads enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, governance and risk management across a complex academic medical system. With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare information security, he has built and matured programs addressing insider risk, cloud security, application and network security, and third-party risk management, aligning UVA Health’s security posture with peer benchmarks and national standards.
Baker joined UVA Health in 2024 from Thomas Jefferson University Healthcare, a 30-hospital system in southeastern Pennsylvania, where he led efforts to secure one of the first and largest implementations of Epic on Microsoft Azure.
A champion of security awareness and education, he has taught enterprise penetration testing and ethical hacking for the SANS Institute and, since 2018, has volunteered as a red team lead with the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. He holds multiple information security and leadership certifications and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Brady Miller

Brady Miller is chief information security officer at Carilion Clinic, with more than two decades of leadership in cybersecurity and information assurance. Before joining Carilion, he was deputy CISO at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee, where he led a team of 20 and advanced enterprise initiatives such as a data governance program and CyberArk cloud privileged access management. His career also includes roles as information security operations manager and risk manager, along with more than 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy in cybersecurity and IT leadership. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity and information assurance, as well as industry certifications including CISSP and CDPSE.

Joseph Braud has extensive experience in information technology and security, currently serving as both Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Wellstar Health System since January 2020. Previous roles include Chief Information Security Officer at ePlus inc. from January 2019 to January 2020, and CTO/CISO at SLAIT Consulting from February 2016 to January 2020. Joseph held the position of VP of Information Technology at Anthem, Inc. from July 2013 to January 2016, and served as CTO, CISO, and Senior Vice President at Amerigroup from February 2000 to June 2013. Earlier in the career, Joseph was Director of IT for the Louisiana Appellate Court System from November 1994 to February 2000. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Ambassador University, obtained between 1987 and 1991.

Robert Garbee is director of information security at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, where he leads a multidisciplinary team overseeing cybersecurity, information risk management, Epic security and access administration. With more than 25 years of experience in IT and security, Garbee has held leadership roles across the health care, education and defense sectors, driving strategic initiatives that strengthen enterprise security posture and regulatory compliance.
In addition to his role at Carilion Clinic, Garbee serves as an adjunct instructor at Virginia Western Community College, where he teaches cybersecurity and information technology courses.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in business management information systems from Liberty University and maintains CISSP, CCSP and CEH certifications. Garbee is also a founder of the Roanoke Information Security Exchange, or RISE, and BSides Roanoke.
