Aaron Spaulding, PhD
Professor of Health Services Research, Mayo Clinic
Dr. Spaulding is a professor of health services research in Mayo Clinic’s Division of Health Care Delivery Research, and the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery. Dr. Spaulding earned a bachelor’s degree in geosciences from Trinity University, a master’s in health administration from The Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. in health services research from Texas A&M Health Sciences Center. He has been a full-time faculty member at Mayo Clinic since 2016.
Dr. Spaulding conducts research related to the outcomes, quality, and value of health care. Much of his work has been used to inform clinical and administrative practice to encourage improvement or identify the benefits of interventions concerning patient safety, outcomes, or efficiency. In addition, as a methodologist, he is experienced in using quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate interventions and assess outcomes.
